This class covers the basics of how to apply\, distress and wax over common furniture finishes. We’ll answer all the questions you didn’t even know you had and cover the most frequently asked questions we get from our customers! \nHere are the rules: \n\nBring a small piece of furniture (like a small chair\, side table or stool)\nAll supplies are included so you don’t need to bring any special tools or supplies\nYou’ll need to get your first coat of paint on in advance! We’ll hook you up with the paint that you need!!!! This allows us to dive right into the fun of things and allows you to come ready with questions and a bit of experience! If getting to the shop in advance is a problem\, no worries…just select shipping at check-out\, include your color of choice in the comments and we’ll get a small pot shipped out to you!\nWe are maxing the in person class size to just six people.\nThe workshop fee is for one person (unless you signed up for a couples class). If the hubby (or your bestie\, or mom\, or sister\, or running partner. etc.) wants to come “observe” from the sidelines\, they’ll have to pay for they’re own spot. We’re more than happy to send silent observers to enjoy the downtown shops and eateries.  It’s super awkward when we have to ask people to leave so PLEASE don’t make us do it.\n\n*ALL WORKSHOPS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE!!! You will learn how to use and manipulate the different wax products we carry including Annie Sloan Soft Wax and Miss Mustard Seed’s Beeswax. Techniques you will learn include mixing waxes\, making wax glaze\, creating colored waxes\, applying wax topcoats\, using gilding wax\, and hemp oil as top coats and more. In addition\, we practice straight dark wax application over Graphite Chalk Paint®. \nThis class is a must for paint enthusiasts as it will open your eyes and broaden your horizons as to the decorative possibilities within a small container of wax! DESCRIPTION:Book your Spot\nThis workshop is jam packed with all kinds of DIY goodies! You’ll choose your favorite Annie Sloan Paint color and you’ll receive a small sample pot of paint to complete in advance. Bring the freshly painted box to the workshop\, where we’ll apply finishing paint coats and decorative embellishments. Once the boxes are dry\, you’ll receive a choice of Re-design by Prima design transfers to add to your jewelry boxes for those unique\, artistic embellishments. Finally\, we’ll finish each box with a buttery soft wax top coat. DESCRIPTION:Book your Spot\nJoin our very talented guest instructor Despina! This is an introductory class where you will learn the basics of using Art Clay Silver (Fine Silver .999). You will create several pieces (pendants and/or earring dangles) and actually torch fire them in class! This is an amazing medium which allows you to manipulate maliable silver into an array of shapes and designs. You will go home with several beautiful jewelry pieces that YOU made! My classes are limited to 4 students. All tools are provided for use in class. 20g of Art Clay Fine Silver is also included in the price… Nothing to bring but yourself! This is an all-day class from 10a-5p\, and we do break for lunch. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before class so that we can get started at 10a. I will bring in some Sterling Silver Earwires\, Jumprings\, Chains\, and Leather Cords that you can purchase at the end of class if you are interested in completing your jewelry pieces.
