A Non-refundable deposit is due at time of order placement to secure job dates and cost of materials.

Sample photographs of inspiration pieces are required to commence with custom work.

As in any hand painted process, painted refinishing is an artistic process that can be unpredictable due to the nature of certain pre-exiting finishes and conditions. We can not guarantee that the finished product will be identical to ones inspiration as the paint may react in a way unexpected to the artist.

This price quote is for an artistic and textured finish that looks hand painted on the manufacturers finished exterior (i.e. does not include painting the backside of unfinished furniture pieces or the inside of drawers/cabinets unless specified). A natural bristle brush will be used to achieve an over-lapping, stroked look that offers a “velvety” appearance that has depth of color and subtle variation from different angles and lighting. Smooth finishes with minimized brush strokes result in a revised estimate of price as well as painting on unfinished areas of the piece such as the backs or interior drawers/cabinets/etc.

For in-home custom work, we require that at least one homeowner or representative is present.

Standard custom orders are typically completed 5-10 days (per piece) upon order placement and receipt of deposit OR the dates booked. However, weather and unexpected conditions with finishes may delay completion.

By signing this contract, I acknowledge and agree to the work being completed and the selection of color(s) chosen.

I agree that my deposit is non-refundable. I acknowledge that custom work will be started in the order in which it was received and that the average time of completion is 5-10 days per item. I also understand that occasionally, certain unforeseen challenges occur that may result in additional work and cost not specified in the original quote. (i.e. stain/varnish bleed-through, peeling paint, smokers furniture, and so on).

I agree that knot too shabby is not liable for damage to my product at any time while it is in our possession as a result of acts of nature, acts of children, acts of pets or acts of God; or once it has left our premises. We do our very best to safely store your item(s) so that they do not get damaged or broken.

Items must be picked up and balance paid within 7 days of notification of completion or will result in a $10 per item, per day storage fee unless other arrangements have been pre-determined by knot too shabby and myself.

I also understand that any items remaining at knot too shabby for more than 45 days past completion will be relinquished to knot too shabby for further use or donation.
