A delicious thrift store find! This table had some hefty problems when we got a hold of it, including some sawed of sections of the apron and a patchy and worn down urethane top coat. We did wonders with it, repairing the missing wood piece (as noted in the gallery images), stripping the original wood finish and adding a soft and nautical feeling paint finish to the base.
The top was brought down to the original pine wood and then top coated with Miss Mustard Seed’s White Wax. The knotty pine and grain is lovely and the white wax settles along the edges and softens the wood appearance. The table base is finished in Annie Sloan CHALK PAINT French Linen with the white wax sealing it and settling into all of the carved details.
This table comes with a removable leaf and can comfortably seat eight people.
This farm style dining table has been stripped down to the raw wood and given a nautical or beachy feeling white was treatment. The knotty wood grain is beautiful and the table base has been painted in a soft grey with white washed wax treatment to show the details.
