Simple and sweet! This wood secretary desk may be of simple design, but the refinishing details have one of a kind artistic elements. Painted in a custom color of Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint in blended blues, it is the unique image transfer and glass knob that sets this piece apart. The image transfer is of a vintage postcard from the early 1900’s. The hand written address and text is in Dutch (perhaps French). I picked up this postcard in Belgium along with many other vintage pieces of ephemera! It’s not a stretch to say that there will be no piece of furniture like this anywhere. The bookshelf back is painted in Ironstone White with Antiquing Wax. The framework has a white wax finish. The fold-out top sags when opened.
