I admit it. I’m addicted to yard sales. It doesn’t matter where I am, what I am doing…come Saturday morning I want nothing more than to go yard saling. I’ve hit up yard sales all over California from Carlsbad (on my anniversary weekend getaway) to Oxnard, Pismo Beach, Grover Beach, San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay. And, of course the greater Glendora area. It’s no surprise to find out that much of what I sell are treasures discovered at local yard sales. I’m completely okay with admitting that! In fact, if I bought my furniture pieces direct from individiuals (much like antique dealers do), I would have to charge double my list price. I LOOOOOVE that people walk into the store and tell me that things are “under priced,” or “very reasonable,” or even “you could charge much more than this.” For me, it has little to do with selling things for “what they are worth,” but simply, selling things quickly and at a price that is fitting in our economic climate.

This past weekend, I left the store in the very capable hands of others to play on the beach in Oxnard at my annual family girls weekend trip. Armed with small bills and a large truck, my dear aunties and mother loaded up for a morning of yard saling in Oxnard on Saturday. Though I didn’t come back with any great furniture finds, some of my fabulous pickers out there came across some amazing pieces that are available for custom work!
