We are super pumped to announce our newest business collaboration with Kristy from The Handmade Refinery! Beginning in January 2027, Kristy will be taking over the day-to-day operation of our brick-and-mortar retail shop, bringing her own creative vision, fresh ideas, and entrepreneurial spirit to a space that has been part of our community since 2011.
This partnership marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Knot Too Shabby! After more than 15 years of creating, teaching, painting, and connecting with our amazing creative community, I’m ready to shift more of my focus toward my online business and, just as importantly, making more time for family.
But this isn’t goodbye! Over the com
ing months, Kristy and I will be working closely together to make the transition as seamless as possible. She’ll have the opportunity to learn the ins
and outs of the shop, get to know our customers and vendors, and begin putting her own creative stamp on the space. My goal is to support her as she builds on the foundation we’ve created and grows it into something uniquely hers.
So, who is Kristy, and what is The Handmade Refinery?
Kristy shares our love of creativity, unique finds, and the joy of making something your own. We’re excited to see the ideas she brings to the shop and the new opportunities she’ll create for our community. We’ll be sharing more about Kristy, her vision, and what’s ahead as we move through this transition together.
For now, I want to say a huge thank-you to everyone who has supported Knot Too Shabby over the years. Whether you’ve shopped with us, taken a class, painted a piece of furniture, sold your handmade goods, or simply stopped by to say hello, you’ve helped make this place what it is today. I’m incredibly grateful.
The best part? The creative spirit of Knot Too Shabby will continue, while a new vision begins to take shape. I hope you’ll join me in welcoming Kristy and supporting her as she begins this exciting new chapter. I can’t wait to see what we create together!
