This is the first piece of furniture that we have tackled from our Farmhouse Salvage Project.

In reality, this piece was just too big to move into storage. If had gone in the storage unit, it would’ve stayed in the storage unit for who knows how long. It took six of us to move it straight into the shop where we let it sit as-is for a few weeks.

I can’t help but swoon over those chunky claw feet!

Kelly and I worked on this over the course of a day, blending a 50/50 mix of Louis Blue Chalk Paint® and Paris Grey.

We wanted to let the details of the piece stand out on its own, so didn’t do too much distressing.

The body was waxed with Miss Mustard Seed’s Antiquing Wax and a blended White Wax offering a soft grey tone throughout the piece.

The Antiquing Wax settled in all of the carved details making them pop.

We added new, chunky glass diamond cut knobs on the drawers and left the original wood top, just refreshing it with some hemp oil.

This piece is priced at $1,850 and is a perfect statement piece in virtually any (large) room of a house.
