I love Monday’s! It’s the one day a week that I don’t step foot in the store and spend the day doing “mom” stuff. You know…dropping kid off at school, eating lunch at home, laying down with the kids for a nap, laundry, cleaning, gardening, cooking, baking…and the list goes on. Monday’s have also turned into a day to do a project just for me.

Today, I reeeeeeally wanted to go shopping to accessorize my new pew.

For the sake of taking a picture, I grabbed some pillows off of my couch to put on in it, but I really wanted a pop of color in my otherwise very burlapy living room.
I hit up Home Goods and was drooling over some of their new spring and summer stuff! My wallet, not being so full, I limited myself to two new throw pillows and a new comforter set for my bedroom to help me kick off that project.
I also tackled a quick project for my front porch.
One of my pickers gave this to me and it is the perfect fit for my narrow front porch but needed a little TLC.
And, by TLC I mean one coat of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and sandpaper.
Now all I need to finish this entire vignette is an old 4-paned window, a small, round and preferably old galvenized pot, a watering can and a few pillows. With patience, I’m sure I can “pick” all of those items for a few dollars.
Time will tell…
