So, I’m re-doing my girls bedroom! I shared my master plan in a previous blog post. This past weekend, I finally buckled down and got down to work.

In case you missed my last post, this is the before picture.

After this weekend, we made some progress but have a ton of work to do.

The carpet is pulled up and it’s not as bad as I thought it was going to be…but almost as bad. About 3/4 of the room has original hardwood floors and the remaining 1/4 is plywood. The good thing is I think I can work with it and make it blend…I think. Maybe. I’m gonna give it a shot and I might be grateful for the eight foot rug I bought.

All of the fixtures in the closet have been demoed and the inside is painted.

The walls are painted.

The bed is painted.

And, this is the chaos in the rest of the house.

Furniture floating around the family room, a closet worth of clothes hanging out on the pool table and mattresses invading the couch.

But, the girls are having a field day sleeping in the guest bedroom.

This project will go fast because I can’t handle the mess in the rest of the house. Hopefully, be the end of the weekend! We’ll cross our fingers.
