In its glory days, this would’ve been a beautiful piece of furniture. As it is, we received it after years of neglect and mistreatment. An estate sale cast-off, we claimed this piece in spite of the major cosmetic damage. With sturdy bones and beautiful design, we hoped for a cosmetic transformation that would not only showcase its age, but bring it to the 21st Century, stylistically speaking.
Painted in Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint, Typewriter Black with a Hemp Oil top coat, the chipping veneer is emphasized by the distressing and original wood tones peeking through. All of the knobs are original to this piece and in great condition. The drawers are solid, but definitely on the sticky side. This would be a great piece of furniture for a guest bedroom or as supplemental storage.
