This sweet mid century modern vanity went through quite the transformation. Much of the veneer underwent repair work and then was sanded to reveal the gorgeous wood grain. The framework is painted in Annie Sloan Athenian Black and the sides and very bottom of the front have a raised stencil pattern that catches the light at just the right times. It’s very hard to distinguish unless the light hits it just right but it nevertheless adds a unique decorative element.
The tops of the drawers and inside have been given a splash of color using Rifle Paper Co. floral print. To coordinate, the matching stool has been paired with this particular vanity, painted gold to match the original hardware and given a blended paint treatment and decoupage finish using the same Rifle Paper Co. print. The rounded shape of the stool compliments the embossed stencil design on the lower front and sides of the vanity.
The mirror is easily removed for transport.
