You can’t help but notice the sexy legs on this cute little writing desk. There are a lot of rustic elements throughout, which is a fancy way of acknowledging some of the cosmetic imperfections that this desk came with. The blends of Annie Sloan Paint which include French Linen, Old White, Svenska and Florence serve to enhance the beauty of the legs, the carvings on the front and the colors of the hummingbirds. In spite of the cosmetic flaws, the wood is lovely, and the top has been made to showcase the natural wood while complimenting the woody elements in the design transfer. A Damask stencil adds background to the design transfer and the tangerines pop off of the soft blue shades throughout. One thing to note is that the middle drawer is missing the back piece (as pictured). It doesn’t cause an structural problems but anything being stored in the drawer would need to be in containers lest they fall out through the back. And, the back right leg is delightfully wonky. Dynamic new knobs are on both of the front drawers.
