Description
With beautiful turned legs and primitive style, this antique dining room sideboard has been stripped and restained on the surface top in an elegant dark walnut finish. Juxtaposing the formality of the top finish is the chippy base in a dominant white shade with peeks of yellow, orange, sage green and natural wood. The entire piece is layered in shades of Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint and sealed with wax. A single top drawer provides ample storage for shallow dining items and mementos and the two cabinet doors and drawers are deep enough for your heirloom china, serving dishes or any variety of items.
The two doors do not latch shut. On an uneven surface that tilts slightly to the front, the doors tend to sway open. On an even surface, they stay shut fine.
This piece was salvaged from a scheduled demotion of a 1908 Farmhouse in Glendora, CA that in it’s heyday, would’ve been among acres of citrus tress.
